While working full-time with Upward Bound programs, one of my responsibilities was helping students apply for college. Often, in applying for college or while applying for scholarships, this included helping the students write a personal statement. I had a 100% success rate for students being admitted to at least one college and about an 85% success rate for students receiving at least 1 scholarship.
My tutoring experience includes one on one and small groups. I can tutor elementary math (up to 7th grade) and elementary phonics and reading comprehension. I have experience working with small groups on GED instruction. I have worked with high school students to prepare for the ACT and college applications and essays.
