In high school, I was an Award Winning Public Speaker and debater. I went to nationals twice. And I received perfect scores in districts to get to nationals in public speaking twice. The only person to consistently outrank me in what was the most challenging high school debating and speaking district in the country at the time, placed 2nd in the nation that year at nationals.
In college, I was part of a team that placed well internationally too. I helped coach students before I hung up my hat. I did not participate actively in competitions in college because I didn't like the framework. I did help coach, though.
