Helping Students Find Their Voice Through Reading and Writing

I am currently pursuing a degree in English Education with a focus on literacy development, reading comprehension, and academic writing. In addition to my formal coursework, I have gained hands-on experience assisting in both middle school and high school English classrooms. I have supported students one-on-one who were struggling with reading comprehension, essay organization, grammar, and analytical writing.

In these academic settings, I worked directly with students during class time and intervention periods to break down complex texts, model annotation strategies, clarify literary concepts, and guide them through structured writing frameworks. I helped students strengthen thesis development, paragraph organization, and evidence integration while building their confidence as readers and writers.

My experience in both middle and high school environments has taught me how to adapt instruction based on age, ability level, and learning style. I prioritize creating a supportive space where students feel encouraged, capable, and empowered to grow academically.
