Bible Studies

From the youngest age it's been a total fascination of mine to help people understand the Bible as a major central pillar of our western civilization. Even in my single digits I was a regular contributor to the old "Back to the Bible" youth radio broadcasts. This drive carried me on through college, seminary, and into my professional life: The Bible is a thick and complex book, and I want it to be understandable to everyone. After earning a B.A. in History from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I studied 4 years at The Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, California and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree. This course of study covered Hebrew, Greek, hermeneutics and exegesis, church history, pastoral ministry, apologetics, and systematic theology. After graduation I served for several years as a missionary in East Asia. I carry the same thread through all these experiences: Help make the Bible clear and understandable to every person who wants to learn it. I believe it can be read and understood by any reader of any age. I help highlight its unique languages, its history, its geography, its literary qualities, its diverse cultural influences, its theological messages, its riddling complexity in places, its impact on our culture today, and its relevance to you and me in the 21st century. Financial Accounting

I ran a $2.5M company for 9 years and oversaw revenue, COGS, operating expenses, accounts receivable, cash reserves, credit and loans and financing, with all the challenges of keeping cash flow steady. I work with learners of all ages and levels of experience to ground them in sound, real-world cash fundamentals for real businesses.

Grammar

Everyone understands their own informal way of communicating with friends and family. It's a lot trickier when you have to understand the nuts and bolts of "standard English grammar" in an academic or formal situation. I'm here to help you with that. I'm the son of a professional editor and come from a family of professional speakers and published writers. I earned a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I went on to study 4 years at The Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, California and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree. That course of study included intensive Hebrew and Greek grammar. After finishing my graduate degree I worked as an English teacher in Mainland China for 4 years. I've worked with both native and nonnative English speakers, from beginners to highly educated. (Sometimes I impress my friends by diagramming sentences in English, Spanish, Hebrew, Greek, and Mandarin ... and then I show them how the basic grammar principles apply to all 5 languages.) I'm also a published author, having compiled, written and proofread all 6 editions of "The Ultimate Guide to Google Ads." With my students I first help them master the natural flow and conventions of standard English grammar, and then I help them see the nuts and bolts underneath those rules so they can retain them in a memorable way and apply them to their studies and work. Marketing

I have 10 years of professional experience in managing teams and cash flow, and 20 years' experience in high-level marketing. On the marketing side my specialties are Google Ads and Unique Selling Propositions (USP). On the business side I help teams ensure that revenue is strong, costs are low, and there's always generous cash in their bank account. All my work has been with small business entrepreneurs. My foundation for this was built at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Principles I learned there I've since applied to the highest levels of the industry. As the co-author of six editions of "The Ultimate Guide to Google Ads," one of world's the best-selling books on the subject, I've spent two decades breaking down complex advertising algorithms and marketing strategies into clear action steps for entrepreneurs and students alike. I help people in their businesses by bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world application. I believe in a hands-on methodology where I guide students through my "Cashflow Health Check" process, helping them spot financial chokepoints and money gaps. During our sessions, I use real-world examples and case studies to teach students translate date, from Google Ads metrics to P&Ls and balance sheets, into clear, informed decisions and actual cash in the bank. Whether working with a beginner or a seasoned entrepreneur, my goal is to provide straightforward, actionable fixes. I teach students to think practically about their cash position, not to just memorize definitions. By combining my 20 years of coaching experience with the principles found in my published work, I make sure that every student goes away with a deep, practical understanding of how to market, sell, and run a healthy business in the 21st century.
