I am a licensed teacher with more than ten years of experience working with elementary and middle school students in both classroom and small-group settings. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Adams State University and hold a valid teaching certificate in elementary education. Throughout my teaching career I have taught a wide range of subjects, with a particular focus on upper elementary and middle school math. My experience includes helping students with different learning styles build confidence and understanding in subjects that may initially feel challenging.

In my previous roles as a classroom teacher and teaching principal, I worked with students ages 6–14, teaching core subjects including mathematics and providing individualized support when students needed extra help. I frequently worked with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce math concepts, review homework, and prepare for tests. My teaching approach focuses on breaking complex ideas into manageable steps and helping students understand the reasoning behind the math so they can develop strong problem-solving skills.

I enjoy helping students gain confidence in their abilities and develop strategies that make learning more approachable. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, practicing new skills, and building the foundation they need to succeed academically.
