I am looking to help people find competitive success and personal development in speech & debate!

I have worked as a college Director of Forensics and communication instructor, where I coached students to elimination rounds at AFA, NFA, NCCFI and Pi Kappa Delta in both debate and individual events. I am looking to help people find competitive success and personal development in speech & debate!

I have worked as a college Director of Forensics and communication instructor, where I coached students to elimination rounds at AFA, NFA, NCCFI and Pi Kappa Delta in both debate and individual events. I currently am a full time private and the founder of Speech and Debate Services. My students have won state titles in multiple states and advance to deep elimination rounds at NIETOC, NCFL, UKTOC and NSDA. This includes 3 national finalists and 3 extemp semifinalists at NSDA in 2026 and the national runner up in extemp at the 2026 NCFL Grand National Tournament. I have also had a 2025-26 student be invited to compete at the Montgomery Bell Round Robin in extemp, and tentatively expect to have multiple invitees this year!

Finally, I write weekly questions for over 400 coaches and competitors each week, and write question packets for tournaments such as AFA-NST, NSDA, multiple state championships and NIETOC (where I serve as limited prep question writer and head of extemp prep).

I want to help build competitors and students up, using their unique skillsets, into students who can advocate for themselves and their viewpoints. In Speech and Debate, I focus on fundamentals first, then delivery. I assign homework and provide materials for sessions, including limited prep questions and notes on practice performances. I treat every session like a performance round, because that is the standard a competitor will be asked to perform at.

I have a B.A. in history, with a focus through my undergrad thesis on American foreign policy during the Cold War. I have also remained engaged through my work in high school speech and debate, particularly in current events categories such as Extemporaneous speaking. This event requires extensive knowledge of historical trends and events, as these shape modern actions and opinions that are examined in the event.

I have competition experience in high school and college, and have coached successful students/programs in both areas. I have a B.A. in history, with a specific focus on post-colonial/clod war geopolitics. Andrew was able to speak well at the level of my 13 yo daughter. They talked about you strengths and weaknesses with understanding what's the overall goal in mind. He was able to discuss with her what fundamentals will need to be addressed and the expectation from the two of them. Great 1st session.
