As a writing fellow I helped students determine how to organize their paper and what revisions needed to be made. I'm a strong believer in allowing the student to read his or her paper aloud and discuss what they want to say. Simply allowing the student's authentic voice to come through is a major achievement.
I can also assist in helping a student organize/research a research paper. As a writing fellow I was responsible for learning everything there is to know about research. As your tutor I would help you break down the research process into manageable steps and understand how to use the material you find. I've found many students feel overwhelmed and unsure of their abilities. Let me help you overcome the initial fear!
