When I took a job working in my children’s school library, I discovered my true passion--teaching children. It was during this time I had a small focus group of 5-10 kids aimed at improving their reading levels to prepare them for the end of school tests.
Whether it’s on the soccer field or in an educational setting, what I enjoy most is working with children reach their full potential. I am a homeschool mother of three and understand just how differently each kid learns and how to make enjoyable in the process.
I have homeschooled all of my children through out their elementary career. I have taught many different programs in math, which has allowed to me teach and communicate math in a more dynamic manner.
Reading and English can truly be so fun! During my time at SH Crowley, the focus group that I was assigned to all had below average scores in reading. Within months, each student was on their expected level, some above. These students came in to this group not wanting to be there, and shortly came to look forward to the group time. Kids who did not want to participate, became my most involved. True joy to observe this progression.
