I am a first-year Biology (Pre-Med) student at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where I currently hold a 3.925 GPA. My academic foundation in chemistry and biology is strong. I have completed General Chemistry I and Laboratory, Cellular Biology, Evolution and Diversity, and Principles of Chemistry, with additional coursework in Calculus and Anatomy and Physiology. I graduated with honors from Sheyenne High School in West Fargo, North Dakota, where I built the rigorous science and math background that continues to serve me in my college coursework today. I also hold a CNA certification, which has deepened my applied understanding of human biology and physiology beyond the classroom.
In terms of teaching experience, I served as a Laboratory and Teaching Assistant at Concordia College, where I worked directly alongside faculty to support instruction during class and lab sessions. This role required me to break down complex scientific concepts for students in real time, both one-on-one and in small group settings. I am comfortable adapting my explanations to meet students where they are, whether that means working through foundational concepts or pushing toward deeper understanding for more advanced learners.
My approach to tutoring is patient, structured, and student-centered. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than memorization, and I use real-world examples, especially from clinical and health contexts, to make chemistry and biology feel relevant and approachable. I am most effective with high school students and college undergraduates, particularly those in introductory or pre-med science tracks who need a tutor who has recently navigated the same material and understands where students commonly struggle.
