My name is Michael and I currently practice law in North Dakota. I received a Bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Political Science. I then went on to complete law school and received my J.D.
I enjoy reading and talking which is the driving force behind why I became an attorney, but it’s also the reason I love to teach. I’ve helped teach kindergarten classes as well as graded papers for Law Review Journal’s. Most of my tutoring experience comes from tutoring fellow law students and family for ACT Prep, but I also spend a lot of time tutoring my significant other’s children with Autism. I’m most often teaching in a one on one setting, which is my preference because being able to build a stronger connection and have more focused teaching leads to better results in my experience.
I prefer to get a gauge for the floor or where you are starting from and then design the lessons off of that. Not everyone will have the same struggles and I feel the student is going to get a lot more benefit honing in on their weak subjects rather than a standardized plan that spends unnecessary time on their strengths.
Having graduated high school, undergrad, and law school, there are not many types of tests I haven’t had to take. Whether it’s the ASVAB, ACT, a GED, LSAT, or even the Bar Exam I have experience with them all.
My expertise past test preparation definitely rests in History, English, and Reading. However I’m comfortable with mathematics up until pre-calculus.
I am a busy individual, but am fairly easy to reach, I like to be accessible and create an environment where the student is comfortable and able to more confidently strive for their goals.
