So, why pick me? Before I give you my credentials, let me tell you that I am committed to you not just doing better, but being at the top of your class. You will get a custom plan set around your schedule. You will get short and long term goals to meet. Furthermore, I can meet with you on Zoom, in person, or any other arrangement that fits your needs. You may also communicate with me through email as questions arise. What I offer is more than just an hour of watching you work problems, but rather a structure to help you succeed long term.

What do I bring? I bring over 24 years of teaching experience to you from two different states. I have taught in very diverse backgrounds with various types of learners, including those with special needs. I also bring a passion for science. My first (subject) love is chemistry. It is a challenging, but inspiring. I hope to share that passion with you. I also provide follow-up to see how you are progressing.

I have a strong math background through calculus. I try to make math applicable beyond the memorization of steps to see relationships.
While I am certified in all sciences, I have a passion for the physical sciences, such as chemistry and physics. I have been certified in chemistry since 1996, and I have taught since that time. I understand the frustration that students feel, and my experience has helped in overcoming those obstacles. I have been very blessed to have had students perform very well on state tests, chemistry competitions, and in college. I have taught students of a variety of backgrounds and learning styles. I have tutored both high school and college students, and was certified to teach AP Chemistry in 2002.

I encourage you to contact me if you have a need. I am available for tutoring from 4:00 PM to 9:00 each weeknight, and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM- 12:00 PM. I will be completely honest in my communication with you. If, for some reason, it doesn't seem to be a good fit, I will try to help you find another avenue so that you can excel.
