Hi, I’m Nimarah!

I am an experienced academic writing tutor with over 10 years of online tutoring experience, specializing in essay writing, editing, and APA/MLA formatting for students in grades K–12 through college. I graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in General Studies. Throughout my academic journey, I saw firsthand how the right teacher can transform a student’s confidence and success, which inspired me to pursue tutoring as my passion.

My specialty is helping students improve their writing while maintaining their own voice. I assist with school essays and research papers, APA and MLA formatting, college application and scholarship essays, personal statements, writing revision and editing, organization, clarity, and grammar. Online tutoring has allowed me to support students from many backgrounds while balancing my family life, and I am grateful to make a meaningful impact on so many learners.

Rather than simply correcting papers, I explain what needs improvement, why it matters, and how to fix it so students develop stronger writing skills over time. My goal is not just to improve one assignment, but to help students become confident, independent writers. During sessions, I keep students engaged, provide detailed feedback, and check for understanding before we finish. I especially enjoy the “aha” moment when a difficult concept finally clicks.
