I am a North Carolina licensed educator with over fifteen years of experience supporting students from Pre-K through high school. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in English, Education, and Theatre Arts and am licensed in English Language Arts and Theatre Arts. My professional background includes extensive training in evidence-based literacy instruction, including the Science of Reading, Lexia LETRS, Reading Foundations, and research-based reading intervention practices. I also have training and experience implementing Singapore Math, a curriculum that emphasizes deep conceptual understanding through a Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract approach to support students struggling with foundational math skills in grades K–5. Throughout my career, I have worked with students across a wide range of abilities, including those who struggle with reading, writing, and math.

My teaching experience spans general education classrooms, small-group intervention, and one-on-one instruction. I have served as a classroom teacher, Reading Interventionist, and MTSS Coordinator, where I provided targeted, data-driven literacy and math support tailored to individual student needs. I have worked closely with elementary students on foundational math and supported older students with reading comprehension, writing skills, and academic confidence. I also have experience supporting diverse learners, including students with learning gaps and attention challenges.

As a tutor, I focus on personalized instruction that builds both skills and confidence. I meet students where they are, using clear explanations, structured lessons, and positive encouragement to help them grow. My goal is to help students develop strong foundational skills while fostering independence and a love of learning in a supportive, patient environment.
