I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology and currently working on my Masters degree at Wake Forest. I have extensive experience in subjects such as genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, anatomy, and physiology. Throughout my undergraduate education, I completed advanced coursework and conducted research in areas including photochemotherapeutic agents, microbial diversity, and most recently, sex-specific injury mechanisms through the Crash Injury Research and Engineering Network (CIREN) at Wake Forest University. This combination of academic training and hands-on research experience allows me to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear and approachable way.

I have worked with students ranging from middle school through college, helping them strengthen foundational science skills and develop confidence in their coursework. My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and highly adaptable. I focus on breaking down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps and tailoring explanations to each student’s learning style, whether visual, verbal, or practice-based. I enjoy helping students understand not just the “what,” but the “why,” so they can apply what they learn long-term.

My experience also includes mentoring pre-medical students and assisting peers with exam preparation, study strategies, and scientific writing. These experiences have taught me how to communicate effectively, encourage active learning, and create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions. I am committed to helping students reach their academic goals, whether they need support in mastering core biology concepts, preparing for upper-level coursework, or strengthening their early MCAT foundations.
