I am a current CFA charterholder working in a research and trading role at an investment management firm. I also have several years of experience in tutoring college and adult learners dating back to my time in college as an English grammar and essay writing tutor. I began formally tutoring finance students after successfully helping colleagues with their exams (e.g. FINRA Series exams, CFA exams). I desire to help current CFA exam candidates, FINRA exam candidates, and general finance students pass their tests / classes and advance their careers in the industry. In terms of professional tests and credentials:
- Series 65 (September 2017)
- Passed CFA L1 exam, June 2019 on first attempt
- Passed CFA L2 exam, May 2021 on first attempt
- Passed CFA L3 exam, May 2022 on first attempt
- CFA Charterholder effective August 2022

In terms of professional experience, I have worked on the buyside for over six years, with hands-on experience in research (fixed income, equity, global macro) and trading (primarily fixed income). I find that this real world experience helps me better understand academic material and communicate it to students with real life examples, which helps solidify the material in practice and not just in theory. My tutoring philosophy starts with helping students determine how they best learn. Once a student learns how they best digest material, the studying process becomes much simpler and enjoyable, and it helps me as a tutor better craft our time to fit their preferences. I also like to bring in real-world applications and examples into the tutoring process, as I find this not only helps students better engage, but also shows students the value of the material at hand.

I am a working professional in a research and trading role at a buy-side investment management firm. I am also a current CFA charterholder, passing all three exams on the first attempt (June 2019; May 2021, delayed due to COVID; May 2022). For Levels 1 and 2, I scored higher than 90% of all candidates (the CFA Institute does not disclose this information for Level 3). My strengths in the CFAI curriculum include financial reporting / statement analysis, fixed income, and corporate finance.

Cameron helped me with the CFA Level I and was an excellent tutor. He was well-prepared, which maximized my learning for each session. CFA Level I

I took CFA Level I in February. I studied with Cameron for few months prior to the exam. He is very knowledgeable and able to explain material in very simple terms. We worked on multiple sections in the curriculum, but the way Cameron explained FRA sections was especially helpful and many topics became very clear as if the puzzle suddenly fit together. I highly recommend Cameron as a CFA Level I tutor and I am sure his knowledge, professional experience and teaching skills make him a great tutor for Level II and III as well.
