I am a newly graduate student from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English, with a concentration in technical writing. I have 5+ years of tutoring experience where I not only help my students learn, but also provide them with the confidence to succeed. I am patient, organized, and genuinely committed to meeting learners where they are. One of my greatest strengths is how naturally I connect with students — I’m warm, approachable, and truly invested in making them feel seen and supported. I strive to create a space where students can ask questions without hesitation, celebrate small wins, and trust that I’m right there cheering them on.

I have experience working with students ranging from middle school to college. Much of my experience comes from one-on-one sessions as a Writing Consultant, where I guided students through assignments, helped them strengthen their writing skills, and built their confidence in their own abilities. I also spent time volunteering as a peer tutor, supporting younger students with reading comprehension, grammar, and general coursework.

My approach is always student-centered and encouraging. I focus on breaking down concepts in clear, manageable steps and adapting my explanations to each student’s learning style. I’m patient, personable, and committed to creating a judgment-free space where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying again. Whether I’m helping a middle-schooler understand an essay prompt or coaching a college student through a research paper, I aim to make each session supportive, uplifting, and genuinely empowering.
