With a B.S. in Biology (magna cum laude, minor in Chemistry), an M.S. in Bioengineering, and my current journey toward an M.D. at UNC Chapel Hill, I’ve spent years immersed in the sciences—and I know how to make complex concepts clear and engaging.
My teaching experience spans both the classroom and one-on-one settings. As a graduate teaching assistant in biology, I guided undergraduates through labs and coursework, helping them build confidence in their problem-solving skills. Later, as a chemistry teacher at Woodberry Forest School, I worked with high school students, blending structured lessons with interactive discussions that made chemistry less intimidating and more approachable. Coaching athletics alongside teaching also taught me how to motivate students, encourage discipline, and celebrate progress.
I’ve worked with students from high school through college, tailoring my methods to their needs—whether that means breaking down tough material step by step, connecting lessons to everyday examples, or offering strategies for test preparation. My goal is not just to help students earn better grades, but to spark curiosity and show them how biology and chemistry explain the world around them.
