I'm Matt and I've spent my life in education. My mother was my Middle School Librarian and my father was my High School Principal. As a result, I started my career at a young age. I earned my teaching degree at the University of Delaware and after graduating I moved to San Diego where I was a private High School Tutor until I helped start a Cooperative Charter School. My biggest strengths are my patience, creativity and ability to build rapport. I readily take on challenges with resistant students as they tend to have the greatest successes. I am comfortable tutoring in-person as well as online as they each have their own positive qualities. Using the teaching strategies I have acquired over my career offers me a formidable arsenal of options when working with students in a tutoring setting. I have always supplemented teaching with private tutoring so I am excited to put my decades worth of talent to work here with you.
