Hi, my name is Julie and I live in Wilmington, NC. I received my master's degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2009 and before that, earned my bachelor's degree (also at UNCW) in 2004 in business administration with emphases in finance and marketing. I took bachelor's level accounting classes (equivalent to an undergraduate accounting degree) the summer before beginning my master's degree.
Since 2016, I have been an adjunct instructor at my alma mater UNCW and have been teaching at Miller Motte College since 2014. At UNCW my subjects taught have included: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Payroll, and Intro Finance. At Miller Motte College my subjects taught over the years include: Intro to Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Quickbooks Online, Business Finance, Economics, Management for Success, and Microsoft Excel.
In addition to teaching, I have tutored students (at both locations) throughout the years. In addition to the above listed subjects, I am available for math tutoring as well. I am available to meet in person locally, or can tutor online via zoom or other video platform. I am also available via phone and text!
In addition to teaching and tutoring, I have worked as an accountant for over 11 years for various businesses. Therefore, I have industry experience outside of the classroom. Math and accounting have always been my best and favorite subjects over the years.
I worked as a tax accountant every tax season for over 10 years.
I am patient and would love to help you succeed in your studies and successfully understand and retain information you have set out to learn.
