I am a student at Liberty University Online majoring in the Bachelor's Degree in Education Online program. I am a senior this year and have a 2.8 GPA at this time. My best subjects have always been English and American History. I am good in forms of grammar and writing and the parts of History involving the American Revolution and the Civil War Era. But, I also can work with American History from the very beginnings from Jamestown and Plymouth. I am of Native American descent myself, so I have a lot of interest and some knowledge from the Native side of history as well. I have worked as a substitute teacher for 2 years in the Rhea County and Lincoln County, Tennessee schools working with 4th and 5th grade students and have homeschooled my own daughter. I also had 2 other sons in special education and tutored them until they graduated, both on the A-B honor roll. I am also substituting this year at Smoky Mountain Elementary School part-time. You may check my background at anytime. I will travel short distances.

Bible Studies

Bible Studies

Last semester in college I took Bible 104, which is a beginning class in Bible studies at Liberty University and passed the class with a B. I was raised in church and have studied most areas of the Bible. While not a master of the Bible, I can be a help of anyone who is studying the Bible as I have had to do a report to my instructor on each book of the Bible as to what the genre of the book was and who was the main character and author, when it was written and what the book was about. I don't know it by heart, but can help the student with what needs to be done.
Career Development

Career Development

I am a certified life coach by the AACC and can prepare students and walk beside them while they set goals for themselves and work toward the goals needed to obtain the career of their dreams.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I was a substitute teacher in this area for 2 years in Tennessee before moving to Virginia. I had to do daily classroom lessons, lesson plans, teach, assist the students with problems they had, and gave them assigned tests. I truly loved working with the kids this age because they were so anxious to learn.
Special Needs

Special Needs

I am currently pursuing a bachelor of science degree in education, I plan on going further and getting a degree working with special needs children. I have worked with my own children in special education and know the rights of those children like the back of my hand. My oldest special child, graduated from high school in 2003 on the A-B honor roll after completing his IEP. My next son, also a special student, graduated on the A-B honor roll in 2007, and I'm homeschooling my daughter who is also a special student. No student who qualifies for special education is a labeled child. I have always taught my children as I tutored them through school that the were not to listen to other people who tried to label them, they were "special" because they were smart and could be or do anything they set their heads to do. The only difference in them and other kids is that they have a "special" way of learning. You just have to find that "special" way and run with it. If it works use it to the max and you will see that child bloom to the top. It's wonderful to see them succeed!
