I received my BA at UNC-Chapel Hill in Journalism & Mass Communication with a second major in Mandarin Chinese. Following college, I tutored elementary age students in Chinese for two years. I also received a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. During and after, I taught middle school religion courses at a prestigious private school in Raleigh. These religion courses encompassed writing, research and public speaking, topics which I truly enjoy teaching to middle school students.
My personal life and interests add valuable niches to my offerings. I was homeschooled for 12 years and understand much about the homeschool experience—working with a homeschooling family would be a particular joy for me. In addition, my hobbies include advanced level sewing and intermediate level needlework, both of which I can teach.
