Hi, I'm Kripa! I'm a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Electrical Engineering. Over the years of being a math student myself, I've often found that the right teacher could make a seemingly grueling subject something fun and enjoyable. However, a lot of times, it can be very late in one's education that one finds such a teacher. For me, it was when taking Calculus in my sophomore year of high school that I started to develop a love for math, which led me to pursue engineering. Without the right teacher, I may have gone on disliking math for much longer. As a tutor, I aim to be that type of teacher and spark a love for math in my students.
I have three years of tutoring experience at all levels of high school math, ranging from Algebra 1 to Calculus 2. As a tutor, I have experience teaching students one-on-one and in small group settings. I have taken math up to and including Calculus 3, and I have excelled in AP and college-level math courses (5's in all AP courses, high A's in all college math courses). I am comfortable teaching up to and including Calculus 2, whether for AP exam preparations, for standardized test preparations, or to help students excel in their classes.
No matter the level of the student, I will always teach with a non-judgmental approach, working to meet students where they are at and best complement their learning styles.
