I am a recent graduate from NCSU who majored in Business IT and minored in German. I love learning languages and have taken classes in several languages. Although I really enjoy exploring new languages, I discovered that I enjoyed German the most and decided to stick with it until I considered myself fluent. Many people say that German is a difficult language, but I haven't found that to be true at all! The key things that have helped me come so far have been the teachers and professors who made learning fun, and being able to find the connections to English that help make the seemingly hard grammar and translations make sense. Being your tutor, I want to make learning the language as easy as possible for you and show you how much fun it can be, just as my teachers made it for me!

Why would I be a great German Tutor for you? I have studied German 1-4 in High School starting in 2016 and I peer-tutored other high school students during that time as well once I hit senior year. After that I studied German at NC State University for 4 years until I graduated from NCSU with a Minor in German in 2023. While I studied at NCSU I served as VP of NCSU’s Delta Phi Alpha (German National Honors Society), where I tutored other students taking 100-200 level classes, and helped foster the growth of learning German in the community. And lastly I lived in Frankfurt, Germany for 3 months in the summer of 2022 where I completed an internship at a German speaking company! Living in Germany really helped me improve my German exponentially and taught me valuable skills that I intend to share with you!

The path to fluency in a language is not easy, however, having someone regular to practice with will definitely speed up the process! Whether you just need help with grammar and learning vocab, or would like to work on homework and study for exams together, lass uns Deutsch zusammen lernen!
