I believe individuals learn better if they are truly interested. Using strategies and presenting lessons in a creative way has always helped grab the attention of children I have worked with. Making it fun to learn is the key to keeping the attention of anyone.
Finding creative non traditional ways to present material is the way for me. Worksheets and flash cards are great however, they may not work for everyone. In my lesson plans along with those aids I also include games, activities, art and projects to make learning interesting and fun.
