I am a veteran educator with over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring high school students. Throughout my career, I have taught nearly every course in the high school Business and Marketing curriculum, giving me a deep and well-rounded understanding of both the content and how students learn it.

I currently teach at Heritage High School in Wake Forest, NC, where I teach a variety of business and marketing courses as well as AP Macroeconomics. I have extensive experience helping students prepare for DECA exams and roleplays, including test strategies, performance indicators, question analysis, and confidence-building for competitive events.

For the past 20 years, I have also worked as a tutor, supporting students one-on-one to improve understanding, strengthen skills, and perform at their best on tests and assessments. I focus on teaching students how to break down questions, apply prior knowledge, and think critically—skills that transfer far beyond a single class or exam.

Outside of teaching, I am a father of two daughters and the head coach of our school’s women’s flag football team. These roles help shape my supportive, motivating approach and allow me to connect well with students.

My goal as a tutor is to meet students where they are, build their confidence, and help them achieve success—whether in the classroom, on exams, or in DECA competitions.
