I am a college-level instructor with 15 years of formal postsecondary teaching experience and the published author of an Anatomy and Physiology textbook and workbook as well as a Kinesiology textbook. I hold a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University, a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration, and have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2004. My teaching background spans both classroom and one-on-one instruction with adult learners ranging from early career students to working professionals seeking licensure and professional development.
For six years I taught at Gwinnett College, where I instructed courses in anatomy, physiology, pathology, business practices, taxation, banking, and professional development. Since founding Cornerstone Holistic Institute in 2021, I have continued teaching those subjects while also providing individualized tutoring and academic coaching to students navigating rigorous health sciences programs. My approach centers on connecting complex material to real-world application — I find that students retain content more deeply when they understand why it matters, not just what it means.
My clinical background as a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist for eleven years gives me a hands-on depth in anatomy and physiology that goes beyond academic knowledge. I have worked with athletes at the professional level and educated diverse community populations on health, wellness, and body mechanics. Whether working in a classroom setting or one-on-one, I meet students where they are and build from their strengths.
