Hello! My name is Jonathan, and I am a Registered Nurse currently working in a Pediatric Emergency Department in a hospital setting. I care for infants, children, and adolescents experiencing a wide range of acute and high-acuity conditions including respiratory distress, trauma, dehydration, and other emergency medical concerns. I completed my nursing education through an accredited program and hold an active RN license along with certifications including BLS and PALS.
In my current role, I regularly apply critical thinking, prioritization, and clinical judgment in fast-paced situations. I also have experience mentoring new nurses and working with nursing students in the clinical setting, where I help guide clinical decision-making and patient care.
My tutoring focuses on NCLEX preparation, nursing school exam success, pediatric nursing, medical-surgical nursing, prioritization, delegation, and clinical reasoning. I help students move beyond memorization by teaching structured approaches to breaking down questions, identifying key clues, eliminating incorrect answers, and selecting the safest response.
Many students struggle with NCLEX-style questions not because they lack knowledge, but because they struggle with application. I use real clinical examples from pediatric emergency care to help connect classroom concepts to practice. My goal is to help students build confidence and improve their test-taking and clinical reasoning skills. I offer flexible evening and weekend tutoring sessions.
