Hello! I have a degree in Special Education and over 10 years of experience working with middle and high school students with ADHD and other learning differences. Much of my experience has been in specialized classroom settings, where I have helped students build the executive functioning and success skills they need to feel more independent and confident. This includes things like organization, time management, task initiation, self-advocacy, and building routines that actually feel realistic. I know that every student works differently, so I focus on finding practical strategies that fit the student instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all approach.
I also have 5 years of experience teaching math to middle and high school students. I have worked with students at many different skill levels, from filling in foundational gaps to helping students tackle more challenging concepts. My goal in math is to make it feel less overwhelming by breaking things down clearly, helping students understand patterns and processes, and building confidence along the way. Because of my background, I am especially comfortable supporting students who may need extra patience, structure, or flexibility.
As a tutor, I want students to feel comfortable, supported, and capable. Whether we are working on math content, study habits, or executive functioning skills, I care about helping students make real progress and feel more confident in themselves over time.
