As a graduate from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's in Business, I bring over 7 years of tutoring experience, specializing in Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Intermediate Algebra. My teaching journey includes roles at Mathnasium, Valencia College, and Central Piedmont Community College, where I focused on developmental math, preparing students for upper-level courses. I am passionate about helping students grasp the "why" behind mathematical concepts rather than relying solely on memorization, which fosters deeper understanding and motivates them to engage with the material. I am dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic success, and I look forward to inspiring students to reach their full potential in math.
At the college level I tutored in a math lab or an emporium, answering students questions when they arose. I also led small classes on the subject matter for the day given by the department. In giving my instruction, in the classroom or from student to student, I bring to surface possible mistakes students can make so that these mistakes are exposed, and not made later by the student, to save them time and enrich their learning experience. I'll approach a problem from multiple angles until the student feels comfortable in solving it.
