Tom has been a professional drummer, vocalist, entertainer, and producer for more than 40 years. Tom has been a professional drummer, vocalist, entertainer, and producer for more than 40 years. During that time he has worked in USO shows, traveled with top-40 show bands, played in dinner theater and regional theater pit orchestras, worked in commercial recording studios, toured with the American Cavalcade of Big Bands, and backed international stars, including: Steve Allen; The Spinners; Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme; The Lettermen; Grammy-winning jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan, comedian Rodney Dangerfield; and many more.
His current schedule includes leading his own 9-piece, horn-driven variety band, as well as teaching private drum students in his studio in downtown Southern Pines, NC. In addition, due to his extensive past experience in the drum corps activity, he also coaches the drum line of the award-winning Union Pines High School Marching Vikings (Cameron, NC).
When he is not playing and singing with his band or teaching young drummers, he also plays with the the Moonlighters Big Band (Raleigh), the non-profit Heart of Carolina Jazz Orchestra (Sanford), and numerous free-lance drumming and singing assignments throughout the region.
