TUTORING EXPERIENCE
I am an experienced private tutor. I started tutoring friends way back in high school, was hired by my university to tutor peers in various subjects during undergrad, and have tutored high school and adult students on Wyzant on and off over the years. I've also led sales rep trainings during my professional career, which helps me relate to students of all backgrounds and learning styles.

MY APPROACH
I start by finding where a student’s understanding breaks down, then work to establish theoretical understanding and cement it with repetition and practice. I often use analogies to help students understand tricky concepts, and regularly employ the Socratic method to help students actively come to their own conclusions in support of the knowledge objective. My students would say that one of my strengths is my ability to explain something in different ways and to approach it from different angles until it clicks.

SUBJECTS
note: This list is not exhaustive, but covers the subjects I've tutored in past.

High School / Test Prep: SAT, algebra, statistics, writing
College: finance, accounting, microeconomics, writing
Graduate / Professional: corporate finance, valuation, fundamental equity research, accounting
