I earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science with a concentration in Law and Justice from North Carolina State University, graduating in 2020 with a 4.0 GPA. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in History at NC State, focusing on the 17th-18th Century British Atlantic World, with an expected graduation in 2025. My academic background has strengthened my expertise in research, critical analysis, and communication, which I bring into my teaching and tutoring work.
I have been tutoring since 2016, creating personalized learning plans and collaborating with students, parents, and educators to support academic growth. Since 2021, I have worked as a K-12 substitute teacher at Chatham Charter School, teaching in a wide range of settings from traditional classrooms to flexible learning spaces, including long-term work with exceptional children in grades 9–12. As a teaching assistant at NC State from 2022–2023, I led book discussions, delivered lectures, graded assignments, and supported large history courses, fostering inclusive and engaging learning environments.
I also have experience as an online grader for multiple college-level history courses, providing prompt, constructive feedback while addressing academic integrity issues. My tutoring approach blends structure with adaptability, encouraging critical thinking, engagement, and confidence. I have worked successfully with learners of all ages, both in person and virtually, and can effectively tailor instruction to meet diverse needs and goals.
