I have a BA in International Studies/Business Administration. Also, after managing an education program, I decided to pursue my graduate degree (M.A) in Education, with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been education most of my life, and have experience in various schools, the corporate sector, non-profit sector and government.
As a foreign language teacher who has taught both Russian and English, what makes me an excellent instructor is I have never forgotten what it is like to learn another language. My parents were immigrants and struggled learning English. So, I have empathy, patience, and understanding to address the fear and make the classroom environment more inviting yet master the material for the learner.
My degree in International Studies, travelling all over the world and teaching US Special Forces courses on Foundations of Cross-Cultural Communication, Geographical Regional Analysis, and providing consult to my US customer while in Russia. That combination of academic credential, working internationally and loving the subject matter makes me love to share my knowledge of how nations operate internally and on the world stage.
