I am a certified K–6 educator with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and over four years of classroom teaching experience in both public and private school settings. I have taught first, third, and sixth grades, which has given me a deep understanding of developmental learning progressions across elementary grade levels. In addition to classroom teaching, I’ve been tutoring for the past three years, supporting students one-on-one in reading, writing, and math.
My tutoring approach is hands-on, engaging, and individualized. I use a mix of research-based strategies, games, and structured practice to build skills and confidence. I have extensive experience helping students strengthen reading fluency and comprehension, improve math fact fluency and word problem strategies, and sharpen their writing and grammar skills. I tailor each session based on the student’s needs and learning style, always creating a positive and supportive environment. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, including struggling readers, gifted students, and those needing a confidence boost to close academic gaps.
Whether I’m helping a first grader master phonics or guiding a sixth grader through multi-step word problems, my goal is to make learning meaningful and empowering. I love watching my students grow and gain confidence, and I strive to make every session both productive and fun.
