Bio

I have accumulated what might be considered an odd variety of skills from a combination of my education and experience, but through it all I have always loved problem solving and teaching others.

I have accumulated what might be considered an odd variety of skills from a combination of my education and experience, but through it all I have always loved problem solving and teaching others.

I have spent the last 20 years building and managing Access databases, whether or not it was my primary job. I began while still in high school - helping with existing databases and expanding my skills. By the time I was in college I was deploying new databases to improve efficiency at my school and work. After I finished my graduate degree I shifted into being a freelance Access designer part-time, then full-time in 2016. Since then I have been a Senior Consultant at Access Consultant where I continue to help clients all across the country with Access.

My music training very young, beginning piano at age five and constantly having music playing in our home. I added the trombone at age 12, the bassoon at 15, and voice lessons at 16. I have had many opportunities to be part of bands, orchestras, and choirs, as well as smaller groups both instrumental and vocal. When I went to college I chose to focus on voice and, while I continued to play my other instruments, I chose to major in Voice Pedagogy. I was able to take lessons from one of the best teachers in the Milwaukee area, and graduated summa cum laude with a double major in 2010. While my Master's degree took a different direction I continued to teach and study voice, and today I have a small local studio as well as being heavily involved in the arts organizations in my area.

Throughout my Bachelor's and Master's degree I studied the ancient languages the biblical manuscripts are in. I took 6 courses in New Testament Greek, and after graduating with my Master of Arts in Bible I taught the highest level undergrad New Testament Greek course for several years. My favorite accomplishments were helping the struggling students succeed with grasping the finer points of syntax and translation.

I look forward to helping students in any of these areas!
