Hi, I’m Alicia. I have a Bachelors in Child Development from Appalachian State University. I also have Elementary Education courses from East Carolina.
I have taught and worked with students in pre-k through second grade. During college I worked as an after school coordinator and connected students with tutors and provided various learning experiences for the students in the program. Following college, I spent a year living in Budapest, Hungary where I taught second grade. After returning, I taught a combination first and second grade class for two years at a small charter school. Many of my students required accommodations, modifications, and various forms of instruction. The rest of my experience is in a preschool and pre-k setting. I absolutely love meeting a student where they are and helping them get to where they need to be!
I want to help students as much as possible, therefore I welcome any suggestions parents can provide. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions!
