Hi, I'm Kendra! I graduated with honors from Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism. After taking a year off, I attended Campbell Law School and graduated with my Juris Doctor in 2017. Since then, I have been a practicing attorney, mainly in the area of civil litigation. I have tutored ESL students in English via an online platform, as well as local students. Typically, I tutor middle and high school students, but I can also assist in college essay writing and SAT/ACT preparation.

Writing is a part of my daily life and I love to it! I strive to instill this same passion for reading, writing and the English language, in the students I tutor. I understand that each student is unique and I make an effort to understand each student's specific needs and learning style to ensure the student gets the most out of each tutoring session.

My goal for my students is not only to improve grades, but also to boost confidence, and to find long-term techniques that truly transform the way my students view the English language.

Aside from my extensive background in journalistic writing, I also hold a 40-hour TEFL-TESOL certification and have experience teaching English to children in China, ages 10-13, on an online platform. In addition to this, I have tutored middle and high-aged children in my local area in English, writing, vocabulary and grammar. I have also assisted high school seniors in writing college essays and SAT/ACT preparation.
