Hello! I'm Elisabeth, a licensed North Carolina elementary educator with 10 years of experience supporting students academically and helping them build confidence in their learning. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and hold an active North Carolina Teaching License, as well as an active LETRS Certification focused on evidence-based literacy instruction. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students in grades 2, 3, and 5 in a classroom setting, supporting a wide range of learning styles, abilities, and academic needs.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have provided one-on-one tutoring support for students ages 6–10 in areas including reading, phonics, writing, math, homework support, study skills, and test preparation. I have experience identifying individual areas of growth, creating personalized lessons, and adjusting instruction based on each student's strengths and learning style. As a grade-level team leader for three years, I also collaborated with teachers and families to develop effective strategies to support student success.
My teaching approach is centered around creating a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking academic risks. I believe students learn best when instruction is personalized, engaging, and connected to their individual needs. Whether a student needs extra support mastering foundational skills, help understanding challenging concepts, or enrichment to continue growing, I work to create lessons that build both academic skills and confidence.
I would love the opportunity to partner with students and families to help learners reach their goals and develop a lifelong love of learning.
