Hello families and students, I'm Joey! I have 15 years of experience working in education! Recently I tutored a 4th grade student in reading and math. I enjoyed it so much, I joined the wyzant platform to extend my reach! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, as well as a graduate teaching certificate from Appalachian State University. I earned a 4.0 GPA while in graduate school and I earned my teaching license in 2022. I am currently working to become a National Board Certified Teacher. I am passionate about education and finding ways to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. I am available to tutor in science, math, or reading (ELA) up to 8th grade.
