Hello! My name is Andrew and I have been tutoring/teaching for over 4 years.

I am a student in Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University.

I come from a long line of educators and I have continued that streak by tutoring all high school math levels for over a year. I am primarily experienced in one on one settings. Every student I tutored increased their grade by 20-30%, usually far past their initial goals. I always establish a friendly understanding and connection with each tutee I come across to make lessons and learning as pleasant as possible. There is absolutely no judgement from me for any level of struggle, and I guarantee I will always be positive and kind no matter the situation. Despite this, I do not allow cracks in understanding to make it to test days!

I teach with an emphasis on the base principles of each topic, so the student may be outfitted for any problem or situation found on an exam. I have thorough experience in these mathematic principles, whether pure or applied, and will be sure to teach why each concept is important for the students goals.

I have been teaching private piano lessons for 3+ years. I teach ages 5 - 16, and have had over a dozen different students. I have had students with attention issues and anger issues. I prioritize patience and a strong guiding hand towards each goal.

Additionally, I have served as an officer in the FFA organization. In this club I built and maintained an automated farming robot, and taught my peers my discoveries. I also have been a state competitor for multiple years in a row in extemporaneous public speaking. I have experience in being verbally concise!
