Hi! My name is Mark, and I appreciate you taking a minute to consider working with me.

I’ve enjoyed over 20 years of teaching, coaching, and mentoring a wide range of students--from middle and high school learners to collegiates and adults. I hold a B.A. in Communication, a clear secondary teaching credential in English, and an M.A. equivalency award in Communications which allowed me to teach at an accredited college. In addition to academic support, I bring a lot of real-world experience that helps connect learning to practical outcomes. As a serial entrepreneur and business owner, I started an international leaders school where my team and I trained 200 students from 20 nations. So fun! I’ve traveled to 38 countries and worked in 19 of those, so I am also culturally savvy with high emotional intelligence and great people skills.

When I was in school, the classes I liked most were as much about the teacher/professor as the subject content. I do everything I can to make learning an enjoyable experience—as it should be! Over the years, I’ve learned that most students don’t struggle because they aren’t capable; they struggle because they haven’t yet found an approach that truly fits how they learn. My role as a tutor is to help you find clarity, confidence, and momentum—one step at a time. When we work together, I focus on understanding how you think and what’s getting in the way. I take complex material and break it down into clear, manageable pieces, always explaining the “why” so the learning actually sticks. My sessions are structured but encouraging, and I adjust in real time based on what you need in the moment.
