I am an experienced educator with a strong background in English and Special Education. I earned my degree in education and have completed training through NCVPS, AVID/WICOR, and the Sonday System for reading intervention. I currently teach English I–IV in the OCS track, working with diverse learners who require targeted support in reading comprehension, writing development, and executive functioning skills. My experience also includes developing individualized learning plans and adapting curriculum to meet students’ academic needs while helping them grow in confidence and skill.

Over the years, I have taught students ranging from middle school to adult learners in both classroom and one-on-one settings. My instructional style blends structured literacy approaches, scaffolded practice, and real-world application so students not only understand the material but can also use it independently. I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, using strategies that support students with learning differences as well as those who simply need focused instruction to improve their academic performance.

I have been teaching for over 20 years and have supported hundreds of students through coursework, reading remediation, and writing development. My approach is patient, encouraging, and student-centered, with an emphasis on helping learners build strong foundational skills. Whether working with reluctant readers, students who need writing support, or those preparing for English assessments, I create a learning environment where progress feels achievable and measurable.
