I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (ACS-Certified) from North Carolina State University in 2024. While studying there, I gained extensive hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, UV-Vis, ICP-OES, and fluorescence spectroscopy through coursework and advanced laboratory projects. I also led and organized events as a member of a professional chemistry fraternity, developing both leadership and communication skills crucial for teaching.
In addition to my academic and lab experience, I have tutored college-level chemistry students in general and analytical chemistry. I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind the material, not just memorizing facts.
Currently, I work as a Lab Manager at Surtronics, Inc., where I oversee the day-to-day operations of a chemical laboratory. I troubleshoot and optimize metal finishing processes, maintain compliance with NADCAP, AS, and ISO standards, and perform certified wastewater testing. This role has given me a deep understanding of how chemistry is applied in real-world industrial settings, which allows me to connect textbook concepts to practical applications.
