Pre-Med Tutor for High School and College Science Courses

As a pre-med student with a 4.0 GPA and a strong foundation in both research and teaching, I offer students a well-rounded approach to science tutoring rooted in academic excellence and real-world application. I earned my degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Human Biology from North Carolina State University and will be attending medical school in 2026. I am also a certified phlebotomist and have worked in clinical settings, which deepens my understanding of anatomy, physiology, and health science—key subjects for both high school and pre-med students.

My tutoring specialties include high school and college-level biology, genetics, microbiology, and pre-med preparation. At NC State, I served as a teaching assistant for two biology courses, where I led study sessions, answered questions during office hours, and helped students master challenging material. I also conduct undergraduate research in a genetics lab, focusing on DNA extraction, PCR, and human variation studies. These experiences allow me to make difficult topics more engaging by connecting them to real-world medical and research applications.

I take a patient, individualized approach to tutoring. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and thinking critically. I break down complex concepts step-by-step and tailor my teaching to each student's learning style—whether they're reviewing for an AP exam, catching up in a college class, or preparing for their pre-med journey. My goal is not just to help students do well academically but to help them feel confident in their ability to learn, grow, and succeed.
