Why do you want a tutor? I've been a teacher for 30 years and have seen plenty of teachers who don't know how to connect with a student. They don't know how to see what's blocking a student from success, understanding, and that great feeling of completion. I became a teacher and a tutor just to help my students get that feeling. I know that it's easy to get lost, or even hide, in a classroom. I love working one on one with students just to counter that lost-in-the-crowd feeling. I get to really hear what a student thinks and get in and dissect their challenges, their anxiety, to help find the way through to success.

I've been a teacher, a tutor, a school principal, and a parent of a college student. I have degrees in Chemistry and in high school teaching. I've taught high school and college students as well as adults. I won the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching while teaching full time and founding and opening a high school. In all of that, my focus was always on the relationship I had with each individual student and client. I teach high level classes to high performing students, so my knowledge is broad, deep, and I'm quick at figuring out what they need, but I also have taught students who needed my help more, and the challenge is always the same--what does each student need?

I have scored AP exams for The College Board, so I have additional tips for preparing for AP Chemistry. I have taught teachers at the state and national levels, so I'm really on my academic game. All of this additional experience, on top of my 30 years of teaching, gives me an advantage I want to share with you. Let's try that out!
