My name is Parris! I am originally from Des Moines, IA and moved to North Carolina in June of 2024. After receiving my Bachelors in Education focused in English, I began working at Johnston Community School District in Iowa teaching 10-12th grade English. I worked at the high school for 3 full years before receiving my Masters of Education with a Special Education endorsement and moving to NC. Since moving to NC, I have been looking for a school to call home. I am very passionate in working with kids, and look forward to helping you better understand and excel in English!
In addition to teaching, I also enjoy coaching! I have coached gymnastics, cheer, and wrestling! At a young age I learned that I had a passion for working with kids. Due to some of the struggles I personally faced as a child, I feel that it allows me to be able to better assist my students and their needs.
