As a senior at NC State University majoring in Biology with a minor in Microbiology, I bring a strong foundation in the life sciences, paired with a deep passion for mathematics. I’m confident in tutoring a wide range of subjects, including the life sciences, basic math, algebra, and calculus.

My academic journey began with challenges in attention, motivation, and comprehension, but through dedication and improved study habits, I’ve made significant progress in college. I’ve maintained a high GPA and am proud to be a member of both the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society and the Pre-Health Club at NC State. Over the past two years, I’ve also gained valuable experience as an undergraduate research assistant, applying life sciences concepts to Toxicology research. My coursework has included extensive studies in biology, math, chemistry, and physics, along with additional math and biology classes beyond the required curriculum. I have earned an A or higher in every course I tutor.

In terms of teaching experience, I have tutored peers in private sessions and have helped friends and family members, including those with learning disabilities, to understand and excel in mathematics.

My goal is to help students overcome academic challenges and discover their unique paths to success. I believe that academic growth not only enhances knowledge but also builds confidence and self-esteem. By taking a person-centered approach, I tailor my teaching style to meet your individual needs, helping you develop effective study habits and strategies that will serve you well in the long term. My focus is on fostering a growth-centered mindset, emphasizing the importance of refining your study process rather than solely focusing on the outcome.
