Bio

Hi! My name is Yena, and in 2023 I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with highest honors and distinction in Public Health Policy & Management with a minor in Chemistry. In May of 2025 I obtained a Master's of Physiology at North Carolina State University in hopes of one day obtaining my M.D.! I had a very difficult time with a lot of classes during my undergraduate career, and the only thing that got me through was the tutors I had along the way. Hi! My name is Yena, and in 2023 I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with highest honors and distinction in Public Health Policy & Management with a minor in Chemistry. In May of 2025 I obtained a Master's of Physiology at North Carolina State University in hopes of one day obtaining my M.D.! I had a very difficult time with a lot of classes during my undergraduate career, and the only thing that got me through was the tutors I had along the way. Now that I've graduated, I want to be the same support for other students. I have always loved tutoring and teaching others, and have over 6 years of experience doing just that. I have also worked very closely with academic and clinical research, and can provide guidance in that area, which is notoriously hard to navigate alone.

I have tutored in many subjects, but the main one I excel at is biology and all related subjects (ex. genetics and anatomy). I am also a great tutor for Arabic, speaking it fluently and studying it classically for over 10 years. I can help with reading, writing, listening and speaking. The other area I excel in is tutoring for the MCAT. After creating my own study plan (alongside some trial and error) I obtained a 516 on my MCAT with a perfect score in the Psych/Soc section. I am eager to help other students who, like me, may not be able to afford more expensive resources and tutoring.
