Awesome AP Comp Sci A tutor

Ben is an amazing tutor. He is incredibly knowledgeable and patient and my son could not imagine tackling AP Comp Sci A without his help. With no prior comp sci experience, my son enrolled in AP Comp Sci A and Ben walked him through every step of the way. In particular, he was very helpful with prep for the AP Exam. He also went out of his way to accommodate my son's every changing schedule with sports and always found time to meet, even if was late at night. We are very grateful to Ben for all of his support and encouragement this year.

Knowledgeable and Friendly

My son was having trouble with AP Comp Sci and we contacted Ben. It's great when you can tell a tutor the unit/chapter the student is studying and the tutor can quickly compile the material and create exercises for the lesson. That is exactly what Ben did and it was very easy. My son's command of the material has improved and his average picked up quickly (EXHALE).

Ben started working with my daughter on AP Computer Science after the 1st quarter of her sophomore year. She was struggling with the course and barely making a B. Since she started working with Ben, her grades improved to a high A in all of her remaining quarters and the transformation was beyond my expectations. Knowledgable and patient tutor (AP CS)

(Writing this review on behalf of my daughter) Ben was an excellent tutor for my junior daughter on the subject of AP Computer Science. I interviewed Ben along with a few others and found Ben to be patient, polite and highly knowledgeable on the topic and the specific format of the AP test. There were many good tutors who knew Java etc, but Ben was the only one who demonstrated awareness of the AP CS test format and had test specific material available. My daughter spent 2 months with numerous sessions and got her confidence level at a much higher level to take the test. She is awaiting test results & hoping for a great outcome.

My son was struggling in AP Computer Science A as he hasn't had prior coding experience and the class was moving quickly. Thank goodness we found Ben on Wyzant. We wanted someone who can teach the Java programing concepts, sample coding program, and AP Computer Science exam preparation. Ben P., taught my son AP Computer Science successfully. He starts with the core concept first for any new learning. Then he prepares logical real-world use cases. Which helps students to envision what this new software program is going to achieve. And later he would cover the coding part of it. That way a 360 degree of scientific learning is done. That makes any student learn in a natural way and feel like classroom white board training. He is very patient & a good listener. He is adaptive, well organized and a true professional. He has prepared his own AP exam question bank. Which he covers part of his teaching. Also he prepares students with many mock tests before the AP exam. That way, students get confidence prior to the exam. For Ben P., the teaching is service to society - Like giving back to the society. Through education, he is developing the next generation, helping them in education and a successful career and better life. He is such a noble person. I appreciate him for all the support he has provided to my son learning AP Computer Science. I strongly recommend him for AP Computer Science.
