I am a college psychology and sociology instructor with more than ten years of experience teaching courses such as General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, and Race and Ethnicity. I hold a strong academic background in the behavioral and social sciences and have spent my entire career helping students understand complex theories by breaking them down into clear, practical, real-life examples. Having worked with traditional college students, adult learners, and high-school dual-enrollment students, I am very comfortable adapting explanations to different ages, learning styles, and academic needs.

My teaching approach is warm, patient, and highly student-centered. I focus on helping students build confidence, not just complete assignments. Whether a student needs help preparing for an exam, organizing a paper, understanding difficult research concepts, or catching up after falling behind, I guide them step-by-step in a way that reduces anxiety and makes the material feel manageable. Over the years, I have supported students one-on-one during office hours, in small-group settings, and through individualized academic coaching. Those experiences taught me how valuable it is for students to have a supportive space where they can ask questions, think out loud, and learn at their own pace.

I believe that every student is capable of success with the right explanations and encouragement. My goal as a tutor is to meet each student exactly where they are, help them understand the material deeply, and equip them with skills that make learning easier far beyond the course they are working on now.
